Internal Wall Insulation
Internal wall insulation typically consists of either dry lining in the form of flexible thermal linings available in 1 metre by 12.5 metre rolls, laminated insulating plasterboard (known as thermal board), or built-up systems using fibrous insulation such as mineral wool held in place using a studwork frame.
1) Laminated insulating plasterboard
Kingspan Insulation Plasterboards
The internal wall insulation solutions from Kingspan Insulation are a premium performance, CFC/HCFC-free rigid phenolic insulant laminated to 12.5 mm plasterboards. The product has a Class O fire rating/Low Risk.
Knauf Polyfoam Linerboard is a high performance board from Knauf Insulation that has extruded polystyrene bonded to a 9.5mm plasterboard. The product comes in a variety of thicknesses to achieve different levels of carbon saving and can be fixed easily to solid wall properties.
2) IWI System
The Knauf Internal Wall Insulation System (IWI) has been specifically designed for Solid Wall properties. It comprises of an insulated EcoStud that eliminates cold bridging and can be fixed directly to the substrate. The studs are then filled with A+ Green Guide Rated EcoBatts. The system is then finished with a 12.5mm Vapourshield.

A quality inspection will be carried out according to industry best practice.
A survey of the property is required to assess the suitability of the substrate and assess any ancillary work required
