Press Release:
Save £££'s with cavity wall and loft insulation

Release Date 16 April 2014

The National Insulation Association (NIA) is advising householders that there are still over 5 million properties that could benefit from Cavity Wall Insulation (CWI) and around 7 million with inadequate loft insulation. With the right measures installed, these households could see a real difference in their energy bills.

Neil Marshall, Chief Executive of the NIA commented: "Insulation is the most cost effective way householders can save on their energy bills with savings of up to £250* per year from CWI and loft insulation can also save up to £250* per year.

"NIA members will provide an independent 25 year guarantee from the Cavity Insulation Guarantee Agency (CIGA) when CWI is installed, providing the householder with an independent, uniform and dependable guarantee.

"We are urging householders to contact an NIA member to find out if their home requires additional insulation and for details of help with paying for insulation measures through the current Government cashback scheme or Energy Company Obligation (ECO).

Householders can be safe in the knowledge that an NIA installer will have signed up to a strict Code of Professional Practice, meaning peace of mind comes as standard with an NIA member.

To find a local NIA member and details on the Cashback scheme, householders and landlords should visit the NIA website or call 08451 636363.
