Welcome to the National Insulation Association (NIA) website. The NIA represents the insulation industry in the UK and our members include manufacturers and installers of a number of insulation solutions for your home or business. Both the NIA and its members are fully committed to maintaining and raising standards within the insulation industry.

The NIA has a Code of Professional Practice that members agree to follow to ensure that the public receive the highest possible level of customer service. The Code covers the following areas:

For Cavity Wall Insulation you will receive an independent 25 year guarantee from the Cavity Insulation Guarantee Agency. For all types of insulation our members also work to the highest standards of the British Board of Agrément or equivalent regulatory level.

Insulation can reduce your energy bills and carbon footprint and by using a NIA member you can be satisfied that a professional tradesperson will visit your home and undertake an installation to the highest possible standards.

The sooner you make contact the sooner you can benefit from a warmer home and lower fuel bills. There is also a number of Government grants available to lower the costs, especially for those on benefits and those aged 70 or over, speak to an installer member to find out whether you are applicable today.

The National Insulation Association is also a member of TAF (Trade Association Forum) who encourage the development and sharing of best practice among UK Trade Associations.

The NIA has joined 36 other Trade Associations in signing the ‘Member Declaration on Climate Change’ introduced by the Trade Association Forum.

This declaration acknowledges that the NIA accept climate change is having an impact on society, economy and the environment and welcome programmes that target the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
